Performance Evidence

Evidence is required to be collected that demonstrates a candidate’s competency in this unit. Evidence must be relevant to the roles within this sector’s work operations and satisfy all of the requirements of the performance criteria of this unit and include evidence that the candidate:

locates and applies relevant legislation, documentation, policies and procedures

implements procedures and techniques for the safe, effective and efficient completion of the establishing of quarry operations including:

accessing, interpreting and applying legislative, organisation and site requirements and procedures

business planning development requirements

resource planning and development requirements

preparation of project budget requirements

conducting title searches

interpreting survey data

gaining of statutory/legal approvals

preparing tender specifications

negotiation and contract finalisation

implementation of project management strategies

implementation of change

accessing and using appropriate technologies

report preparation and presentation

negotiation with internal/external customers, community and statutory/legal authorities

conflict resolution

works effectively with others to undertake and complete the establishing of quarry operations including:

managing people and processes

resolving conflict

coordinating human, financial and physical resources

developing, initiating and administering work plans

interpreting and applying operational performance data

engaging internal and external stakeholders

demonstrates completion of the establishment of quarry operations that safely, effectively and efficiently meets all of the required outcomes on more than one (1) occasion including:

identifying the relevant information and scope of the work

identifying all aspects of the quarry operation, systems and production equipment

identifying physical resource requirements

assessing options for personnel selection procedures in consultation with site manager
